Building Fire 2117 MacDade Blvd

Thursday, July 9, 2015 23:53 On Thursday July 9th 2015 at 23:53 hrs, Station 18 Folsom Fire Company was dispatched to assist Holmes Fire Co 43 on a building fire at 2117 MacDade Blvd.  Upon the arrival of Eng 18 the crew were given oders to gain entry into the rear of the commercial building. Upon entry into the building crews set up ventilation. The company was inservice for 1 hrs 7 minutes under the command of Chief Ben Salmieri.

   


 

Hazmat Investigation 100 2nd ave

Tuesday, July 7, 2015 10:38 On Tuesday July 7th 2015 at 10:38 hrs, Station 18 Folsom Fire Co was dispatched for fuel in the creek at the above location.  Upon the arrival of Eng 18 they found a3 mile long release, DEP, EPA and County Hazmat teams were notified as well as counties Mobile Command Unit.Booms and Flotting mats were deployed to help contain the release. Investigation found that the release came from the Township maintance garage. The company was assisted by Co 08 Prospect Park, Co 07 Ridley Park the company was in service for4 hrs and 30 minutes under the command of Chief Ben Salmieri.

   


 

419 Swarthmore Ave Investigation

Monday, July 6, 2015 22:20 On Monday July7 6th 2015 at 22:20 hrs, Station 18 Folsom Fire Co was dispatched to 419 Swarthmore ave for an investigation of an odor in the structure.  Upon the arrival of Eng 18 a check of the structure was made and nothing found.  The company was inservice for 25 minutes under the command of Battalion Chief Ed Grossmann

   


 

Assist EMS

Monday, July 6, 2015 18:10 On Monday July 6th 2015 at 18:10 hrs, Station 18 Folsom Fire Co was dispatched to assist Ridley 7 for entry into the above location.  Upon the arrival of Eng 18 the crew was able to gain entry into the home, the company was in service for 20 minutes under the command of Chief Ben Salmieri.

   


 

1211 Morton Ave, Fire Alarm

Monday, July 6, 2015 17:57 On Monday July 6th 2015 at 17:57 hrs, Station 18 Folsom Fire Co was dispatched to 1211 Morton Ave for an automatic fire alarm.  While enroute to the above location the company was recalled by Police. The company was in service for 13 minutes under the command of Chief Ben Salmieri.

   


 

400 Blk Folsom Ave Investigation

Sunday, July 5, 2015 19:46 On Sunday July 5th 2015 at 19:46 hrs, Station 18 Folsom Fire Co was dispatched for an investigation of smoke in the area of the 400 blk of Folsom Ave.  Upon the arrival of Eng found same to be a fire pit.  The company was in service for 14 minutes under the command of Deputy Chief Joe Carollo.

   


 

124 Morton Ave Investigation

Saturday, July 4, 2015 16:45 On Saturday July 4th 2015 at 16:45 hrs, Station 18 Folsom Fire Co was dispatched to 124 Morton Ave for an investigation of smoke in the area.  Upon the arrival of Eng 18, the area was checked and nothing found.  The company was in service for 20 minutes under the command of Deputy Chief Joe Carollo.

Friday, July 3, 2015 22:52 On Friday July 3rd 2015 at 22:52 hrs, Station 18, Folsom Fire Co was dispatched to assist Ridley EMS at the above location,prior to leaving the station the company was cancelled.

   


 

1716 Orchard Ave Building Fire

Tuesday, June 30, 2015 16:42 On Tuesday June 30th 2015 at 16:42 hrs, Company 18 was dispatched to 1716 Orchard ave in Folsom for a building fire.  Upon the arrival of Eng18, the crew found that the chimney had been struck by lighting causing damage to same. The building was checked and found no fire however 5 circuit  breakers were tripped the homeowner was advised to contact his electrican. The company was assisted by Company 43 Holmes Fire Co, Co 49 Milmont, Co 62 SM Vauclain, Co 02 Norwood and Ridley 7 EMS. The Company was in service for 35 minutes under the command of Deputy Chief Joe Carollo.

   


 

1924 Parker Ave Automatic Fire Alarm

Sunday, June 28, 2015 19:11 On Sunday June 28th 2015 at 19:11 hrs, Station 18 Folsom Fire Co was dispatched to 1924 Parker Ave for an automatic fire alarm.  Upon the arrival of Eng 18 the crew found the 3rd floor resident causing a smoke condition from cooking and set the alarm off.  The Company was in service for 20 minutes under the command of Deputy Chief Joe Carollo.
